Dave Dickerson founded Accurate Background in 1997 with the mission to simplify the employment screening process. At the time, the screening industry lacked a reliable source for gathering background information; this often led to a confusing hiring processes for employers and an unpleasant experience for job candidates.

Using his vital industry knowledge and a unique perspective, Mr. Dickerson built a technology platform that had BOTH employer and candidate in mind. With his direction, Accurate Background continues to streamline the background screening process and provide unmatched levels of customer service to client and candidate alike.

Mr. Dickerson’s innovations and expert leadership have been rewarded through the recognition of Accurate Background multiple times for each the following awards:  Inc. 5000’s List of Fastest Growing Privately-Owned Companies in North America, Deloitte’s Technology’s Fast 500 and Workforce Hotlist.

His contributions to the industry and to the local community were highlighted in June of 2017 when he received the Entrepreneur of The Year® Award in Orange County within the Software Services category.

In addition to Accurate Background, Mr. Dickerson founded a successful internet retail company which has been twice ranked on the Inc. 5000 list.


Tim Dowd comes to Accurate Background with more than 30 years of experience leading information and technology enabled business services. A dynamic and growth oriented leader, Mr. Dowd specializes in building and managing teams that deliver superior results. After serving two years on the Accurate Background Board as an independent advisor, Tim joins Accurate Background as President and Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. Dowd is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, developing policies and procedures, and working closely with the finance department to monitor operating budget and planning for future capital and expenditures.

Prior to joining Accurate Background, Mr. Dowd served on the Board of Directors for eScreen Inc.  As a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees, he was instrumental in orchestrating strategic acquisitions. eScreen was sold to Alere Health Management Solutions in April 2012.  Concurrently with eScreen, Mr. Dowd was also the President and Chief Executive Officer of INPUT, a comprehensive procurement and market information service company serving federal, state, and local government contractors.  Mr. Dowd established INPUT as an industry thought leader and top provider of government opportunity research, resulting in record increased value of the company and the sale of INPUT to Deltek in 2010. Previously, Mr. Dowd was the President of USIS (now Altegrity) Commercial Services Division (CSD).  Working directly with the CEO, he directed all business operations, including M&A activities until its sale to Providence Equity Partners in 2007. He was also a senior executive with Choicepoint from 2002 to 2005 leading M&A and background screening operating activities. Tim also was CEO of Current Analysis from 2011-2014 until its sale to Progression Digital Media, a UK publicly traded company.

Mr. Dowd holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Emory University, a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Assumption College. He is a certified Six-Sigma Green Belt and a recognized thought leader having national exposure with TV coverage on Bloomberg, CNN, and Fox.

 Scott is a proven growth executive with over 20 years’ experience growing and managing large enterprise customers and building successful sales teams. Prior to joining Accurate Background, Scott was the VP of Industry Vertical Sales at Box.com where he lead a world-class sales team to aggressively go to market with Box’s core product and industry solutions in North America. Prior to Box, Scott was the VP of Western U.S. Sales at Salesforce.com for 9 years, the technology leader in marketing, sales force automation, customer service, & cloud computing. Scott ran the west team and focused on Fortune 500 Companies to build their strategy for CRM, Customer Service, Digital Social Marketing, Social Listening, and Social Engagement Strategies.

Prior to joining Salesforce.com, Scott spent 8 years at IBM in the enterprise & emerging markets space. He has received numerous sales & leadership awards throughout his career. He completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at San Diego State University, is a member of the Sigma Iota Epsilon, a Collegiate Honorary Academic Management Fraternity (Tau Chapter), and is active leading philanthropic efforts through Box, Inc.’s and Salesforce.com’s Foundations.

Connie Suoo - Chief Technology Officer

Connie Suoo brings to Accurate Background 20 years of experience building, aligning, and revitalizing organizations across a variety of industries, including identity protection, security, actuarial, data, and data analytics. She previously held leadership roles at Equifax, Experian, and Gateway, as well as multiple startups. Most recently, she served as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at LifeLock, where she built the engineering organization from the ground up and played a key role in driving the company to a successful stock market launch.

As Chief Technology Officer, Ms. Suoo oversees all aspects of IT and development, including identifying and preparing for evolving market and customer requirements, development of innovative technologies, and ongoing system improvements. Her leadership is instrumental to Accurate Background’s high level of efficiency and scalability.

Ms. Suoo earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science from Denver University and completed the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.

Bon Idziak | Industry Professional & Expert


Bon Idziak is a 20 year industry professional and subject matter expert on the topics of Background Screening, Drug Testing and HR Technology.  Prior to joining Accurate Background, Bon was Head of Compliance and Government Relations for screening startup Checkr, and CEO of FL based Applicant Insight.  Bon also held several roles at First Advantage in the early onset of his career. Bon’s philosophy is to minimize hiring and retention risk through the design, implementation and management of an intelligent screening program, embracing industry standards and best practices, while ensuring compliance.  Critical to this is focusing on the applicant or employee in all aspects of the process to ensure that their rights are protected and they are active participants.

Currently, Bon serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). In addition, Bon serves as Immediate Past President and on the Board of Directors for the Substance Abuse Program Administrators Association (SAPAA), where he is also active with the Government Relations, International Legal, Compensation and Engagement Committees. Bon is an active member of The Board of Directors for the HR Open Standards Consortium (Worldwide), where he previously served as Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer

Bon is also a long standing and contributing member for several industry associations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), American Transportation Association (ATA), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA), and Securities and Insurance Licensing Association (SILA).

Sherri Davis | Vice President of Human Resources


Sherri Davis joined Accurate Background in 2013 and brings more than 20 years of progressive experience in Human Resources leadership roles. As Vice President of Human Resources at Accurate Background, Ms. Davis is responsible for the company’s human resources strategies, practices and programs, including talent acquisition and management, total rewards programs, HR systems, benefits management, and organizational development.

Prior to joining Accurate Background, Ms. Davis spent 14 years as the Sr. Director of Human Resources at Masimo Corporation (NASDAQ: MASI), a global medical device manufacturer. There she built the HR department and was responsible for leading and directing the company’s overall global HR programs. During her tenure at Masimo, she also had functional responsibilities for three acquisitions and participated in the due diligence process for the Company’s successful IPO in 2007. Ms. Davis has a successful history of developing and implementing HR programs and practices that align with Accurate Background’s operational strategies and long-term vision.


Aaron Charbonnet joined Accurate Background in 2006 and is a veteran of human capital management and technology solutions with more than 25 years’ experience. As Senior Vice President of Client Development, Mr. Charbonnet is responsible for global enterprise sales and providing solutions to our largest customers. Mr. Charbonnet has gained success with business development and on-boarding of Fortune 1000 companies and some of the largest public sector agencies. He brings an array of experience with building human capital management and systems integration teams for large global companies, such as ADP, BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting), and Unisys Corporation.

Mr. Charbonnet combines in-depth HR-industry experience with a track record of managing successful large sales and project teams. Mr. Charbonnet earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA.

Paul Reyor - Senior Vice President of Operations


Paul Reyor oversees day-to-day operations at Accurate Background including the client onboarding, integrations, public records, verifications and customer service teams. Paul has over 20 years of background screening experience and has held a variety of positions including Sr. Director of Product Management, Assistant Vice President of New Technology, Vice President of Enterprise Services and Vice President of Operations. Paul has considerable background screening product and business integration experience having worked for ChoicePoint, LexisNexis, and FirstAdvantage.


Carlos Hernandez has more than 20 years of process improvement, project management, and organizational change management experience. Before joining Accurate Background, Carlos spent 19 years with General Electric where he held multiple roles. Carlos earned a Bachelor degree in Management from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst and holds multiple certifications including Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Project Management Professional, Agile Certified Practitioner, Business Process Optimization, Change Acceleration Process and Financial Management Program. At Accurate Background, Carlos is responsible for driving strategic initiatives to optimize processes, improve quality and enhance the client experience and for ensuring successful project execution.
